THE ARTIST

Not just the art, the artist. A glimpse into the evolution, the chaos, and the creativity that keeps me coming back.

My artistic journey

Art has always been my voice when words fall short, where emotion, strength and vulnerability collide. Through each brushstroke, I reclaim my story, challenge societal narratives, and celebrate the raw essence of womanhood. My art is a journey of defiance, healing and empowerment, inviting others to see their own strength reflected in every piece.

Where it all began

My artistic journey began with a need to reclaim my body and identity after trauma. Inspired by the natural beauty of the South of France, I create work that redefines the female form – not as an object but as a symbol of empowerment and self expression. Art became my way of processing emotions, turning shame into self-love, and reclaiming control over my own narrative. Each piece is a dialogue between strength and vulnerability, an act of liberation.

The evolution of my art

My early works were filled with uncertainty, my brushstrokes searching for confidence. Overtime, I found solace in creating pieces that felt both powerful and soft – women who exist for themselves. I embraced deeper symbolism, like Medusas mythology, to challenge fear-based narratives and transform them into stories of strength. Through painting, I’ve discovered more about myself, and now every piece is a testament to my journey of growth and self-discovery.

Why I paint

Every brushstroke is an act of empowerment, challenging the narratives that diminish a woman’s worth. My work celebrates the resilience, beauty and complexity of womanhood, capturing moments of defiance, softness and self expression. By contrasting light and dark, I explore the duality of womanhood – strength in vulnerability and grace in rawness. My art is deeply personal, a reminder that we do not exist for the gaze of others, but for ourselves.

What is the best artistic advice you have followed?

The best advice I’ve followed is to trust the process and embrace imperfection. Art isn’t about creating something perfect—it’s about expressing raw emotion and personal truth. Focusing on the journey rather than the final product allows me to enjoy the process and grow as an artist. For me, art has always been a form of therapy, a way to process emotions and find peace in the chaos of the world.
It is easy to get caught up in external validation or what will sell but real depth is when you create from a space that has always been for you.

What is your mantra?

It’s not the destination; it’s the journey. The process of experimenting, embracing imperfection, and evolving through each piece is what truly defines my art. The act of painting, for me, is far more fulfilling than the final result. It’s in the journey of creation where new layers of understanding and growth unfold—each brushstroke an exploration. Art is guided by emotion, a unique perspective, and the vulnerability that comes with expressing my truest self. When I create from the heart, I foster a deep connection between myself and my work. This authenticity resonates on a profound level with others who can sense the raw emotion in each piece.

How do you overcome self-doubt in your creative process?

Self-doubt is an inevitable part of the creative process, and I’ve learned to embrace it rather than fight against it. In the beginning, I was paralysed by the fear of making the “wrong” choice, always worried there was only one right path. But over time, I realised that creativity thrives in the freedom to make mistakes. Each stroke is an opportunity to discover something new. The fear of failure is natural in the creative journey, and by embracing it, I allow myself to create more authentically and without restriction.

This is for you

This isn’t just my story – it’s for every woman who has been told to shrink or soften. Through my art, I invite you to see yourself in every stroke. My hope is that my work becomes a mirror, reflecting fragments of your journey, reminding you that your imperfections are part of your beauty. This art is a celebration of strength, transformation, and self love, and through it, I aim to build a community of women who empower each other.
